Bank Simpanan Nasional (BSN) is continuously committed to providing the best banking services to all Malaysians.

One of BSN’s primary endeavours, aligned with its vision of No Malaysian Left Behind is the establishment of the Bank’s Mobile Branch Service (CBB BSN).

Since its launch on May 10, 2021, CBB BSN, which operates in Sabah and Sarawak, has been instrumental in helping local communities, granting them convenient access to comprehensive banking services.

Despite the challenges posed by the global COVID-19 pandemic, BSN’s spirit of providing banking services to Malaysian persevered. The launch of CBB BSN amidst this unprecedented crisis indirectly provided much-needed relief to local residents in underbanked and remote areas who have been seeking comprehensive banking services without the need to travel far from home.

Among the services offered by CBB BSN, are cash withdrawals through Automated Teller Machines (ATM), opening of BSN VISA Debit Card/i accounts, cash deposits, utility bill payments, purchase of BSN Premium Savings Certificate (SSP) and various other transactions that can be completed with zero hassle. Through this commendable initiative, local communities are becoming more financially aware in cultivating saving habits.

CBB BSN is a 3-tonne-capacity vehicle that has been modified to accommodate one ATM unit and two counters, facilitating the process of disbursing government aid to eligible recipients such as Sumbangan Tunai Rahmah (STR), Bantuan Kanak-Kanak (BKK), Bantuan Warga Emas (BWE), Bantuan Khas Kewangan Aidilfitri and various other types of government aids. Consequently, CBB BSN serves as an all-encompassing banking solution for rural and remote communities, ensuring accessibility to diverse banking transactions.

“Before this, we had to queue very long at the end of every month but with the existence of this mobile banking branch, it will make it easier for the public especially BSN account holders” – Monica Darie Daud, a resident of Sipitang, Sabah.

BSN remains dedicated to fulfilling responsibilities and mandates entrusted by the government in ensuring each customer and government aid recipients has the access to comprehensive banking services, as well as promoting saving habits to Malaysians by offering diversity in financial products to remain relevant in current market.

The existence of the CBB BSN enables BSN to expand its mandate and its reach to underbanked and underserved communities with limited access to financial services.

BSN envisions making CBB more accessible across all regions of Malaysia to ensure no Malaysian is left behind in enjoying banking and financial facilities. This positions CBB BSN as a medium that allows Malaysians to benefit from offers and rewards provided by the bank, while fostering saving habits and nurturing financial literate communities.
